News > Last hurrah for Lynn Poole Racing?

07/08/2009

With team boss, Wayne Poole, returning from his Arabian adventures, Saturday's race at Combe could be the final outing for the team under the Lynn Poole Racing Banner. For this event the team's drivers have been entered under the LPR name and hopes are high for a good showing. Olly Bull's car has been repaired and felt fine in testing and the team's new driver, Matt Horwood, had been setting some encouraging times in Thursday testing before the rain came in. A surpise entry in Class C turns out to be none other than Wayne Poole himself, appearing in one of the team's Van Diemen RF88s and hoping to support Class C Championship challenger Tom Margetson, whose car carries a variation of the team's new stickers (see above). Having been out of the cockpit for quite a while, the former Combe Champion admitted to feeling a bit of pressure to do well. Good luck to all the LPR drivers.
