2 Class wins for Bracegirdle and 2 podiums for Boyack

The WPR team made the trip to Silverstone on August 9th 2014 for the Avon FF Triple Crown championship round with Steve Bracegirdle and Don Boyack in their Van Diemens (RF89 and 88 respectively). In fact it was to be Don's last race in the ex Vincenzo Sospiri car before moving into the hands of fellow WPR driver Ray Smith.

Practice went well for Race 1 with Steve qualifying 19th and second in class C with Don a couple of places further back and a little disappointed at being unable to match his times in testing the day before.

With fastest qualifier in Class C failing to complete the first lap it was left to Steve to hold his position to come home 17th and take the class win with Don running steadily to take the final class podium spot.

The grid for Race 2 lined up in the finishing order from Race 1 and the result was a virtual repeat of the first race with the extra bonus of fastest lap in Class for Steve.

The team also brought along Steve Bracegirdle's Nemesis RWE98 for the pair of OSS sports car races. Steve qualified 17th for Race 1 and finished 12th. Race 2 was wet, not Steve's favourite conditions, but he still managed to complete the race in 14th place.
