A pair of 4ths for Wayne Poole

Wayne Poole (RF88) and Steve Bracegirdle (RF89) in their Van Diemens represented WPR at the final Oulton Park race meeting of the season on October 11th 2014 taking in two Pre '90 Formula Ford races.

Qualifying was satisfactory but unspectacular with Wayne taking an 8th and a 7th grid slot with Steve a little further back with a 16th and a 14th.

Race 1 saw Wayne move up to third on Lap 2 and Steve up to 14th on Lap 4 but as the race wore on Wayne dropped to 4th while Steve improved to finish 13th.

Race 2 followed a similar pattern with Wayne moving up to third early on before dropping back to finish 4th again but Steve was up to 9th by Lap 10 which he held to the finish.

In conclusion Wayne was disappointed with the results which "should have been a couple of thirds but I wasn't really race fit" while Steve was pleased to have set some PBs during the event.
